Hola axcabo de instalar ubuntu 8.04 y tengo problemas al conectarme a internet , al parecer no me reconce el modem (según en microsoft el modem es: PCI Soft Data Fax Modem with SmartCP), ¿Como puedo hacer para montar el modem? no tengo ni la menor idea de como hacerlo , por su ayuda, gracias

Primero date una vuelta por este sitio y checa y si tu winmodem esta soportado por linux.
